Joe Hicketts Player Spotlight

Player feature for Iowa Wild's defenseman, Joe Hicketts. This video dives into Joe's life growing up in Canada and his path to professional hockey, as well as his personality. My goal with this project was to capture who Joe was as a person, not just a player. I focused the piece on his personality in hopes that the Des Moines and Wild community could feel connected to the recent addition to the team. The animations were used to tell the stories we couldn't show with b-roll. I designed the animations while the animator on my team made the designs move.
